Martha Wainwright, Sara Schirilli and Louise Hull will be playing at the Hawley to raise money for Nordoff Robbins Music therapy Charity.

This month we have an extra special edition of the fantastic music extravaganza, Apocalypstick at the Hawley Arms on Monday 9th November, which will feature intimate, live performances, one-off show stopping sets and the usual shameless mayhem, from Martha Wainwright (acoustic set), Sara Schiralli and Lousise...

Just thought I'd say that the word about Martha over on Rufus' message board at the moment is talk of a possible Piaf concert at the Barbican in October... (Some news travels fast over there- hence why I started going on his board too a little while back!) Of course it is not official- but thought it was only fair that the same news/rumour was over here too! Anyway lets see- the suspense makes it all the more exciting.... maybe?

Did anyone go? It was in a museum, right? Or am I mistaken about that? Was it fun? Did I miss anything? Reason why I am so interested is:

I had the misfortune to be in Boston yesterday, but I left in the afternoon, so I couldn't go to the concert. But Martha, I would have loved to go there, 'cause I haven't seen you play in ages. I also have the misfortune to be in New York on the 15th of July, while she's playing the 16th. Boo-hoo.

But, I am in Montreal...

She was amazing. My guess is that she opened up a lot of hearts with this performance. The Piaf songs will be a huge succes!!

I know she had shows in several small towns in Quebec (Sherbrooke, Brossard, Drummondville and maybe others) The snowstorms were bad, so am wondering if the shows actually took place. No one from these places has made any comments on the board!
